INSTRUCTIONS TO THE CANDIDATES

At the time of filling the online application

1. The candidates admitted in the different programmes (UG / PG / PG Diploma /

Diploma certificates / M.Phil) offered by Periyar Institute of Distance Education have

to complete their degree within the maximum period of n+5 years, where “n” denotes

the duration of the course. Those who have yet not completed the course within the

stipulated period (mentioned above) can apply to write this special examinations.

2. Candidates are instructed to fill all the columns carefully and upload the photo with a

maximum size of 50kb in the .jpg/.prg format. Certificates will be sent only

through post/courier to the address mentioned in the application. Therefore the

candidates are instructed to provide a proper communication address, while uploading

the online application. Application without candidate’s photo will be rejected.

Only online applications will be accepted.

3. Result will be withheld if the student has wrongly entered the Register Number,

Subject Code and Date of Birth in the Application or Answer Booklet.

4. All the Students applied for Special examinations (including students from the

other states) have to write examinations only at Salem.

5. Theory examinations will be conducted in the examination centre allotted by the

University. The examination centres will be intimated later.

6. Practical and Project examinations will be conducted separately. Schedule and centre

for practical and Project examinations will be intimated later.

7. The Candidates have to pay the examination fees (both theory and practical)

through online mode at the time of submission of application through online.

8. Examination Schedule (Time Table) and Hall Tickets will be uploaded in the

University website: www.periyaruniversity.ac.in.

9. The hall tickets will not be issued for those who have not paid their TUITION FEES.

10. No candidate will be allowed to write the Examination without Hall Ticket.

11. University reserves the right to conduct/cancel the examinations.

12. The decision of the University is final on all matters related to PRIDE Special

examinations.

13. Candidates are instructed to send the printed version of the Online Application (along

with Candidate’s Signature) to the Controller of Examinations, Periyar University,

Salem-636 011 on or before 23.08.2021

Last date for submission of special exam application through online entry 16.08.2021, 

5:15 p.m

Last date to receive the printed version of the online application in the University

23.08.2021 5:15 p.m.
